What does your day look like? 

As an Assistant Transport Planner you are responsible for making and coordinating the transport planning in order to realise the demands of the customer. 

  • You register and, if possible, combine transport orders; 

  • You contact drivers and send the transport instructions; 

  • You coordinate the transport assignments and follow up on them; 

  • Every day you have intensive contact with transporters/drivers, but also with your colleagues from other departments within ECS, such as customer service and rail planning 

  • You are creative in dealing with intermodal possibilities and you get search for solutions to bring our service to customers to a higher level; 

  • You handle the administration meticulously, in different systems 


What do we expect from you? 

  • Minimum MBO level (level 4); 

  • You are a starter and have some administrative work experience within the transport or logistics sector; 

  • You have a good knowledge of the English and German language, both verbally and in writing; 

  • You are swift with systems and administratively strong; 

  • You stay calm even in stressful situations; 

  • You are able to set priorities, anticipate and keep a helicopter view 


Working hours 

Alternating schedule on Saturday between 8 am – 2 pm 

In addition, flexible working hours, also in the evenings until max 22h. 

The number of working hours and working days in the week is negotiable.
