Role
As a BI & Data Analyst, you design, build, and manage data pipelines, data models, and semantic layers within our Microsoft Fabric platform. You transform raw source data into reliable, production-ready data products that serve as the foundation for reporting, analytics, and AI applications.
You combine strong technical expertise (SQL, Python, and data modeling) with analytical insight and work closely with business stakeholders to translate information needs into scalable and sustainable data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines — Designing, developing, maintaining, and automating data pipelines within the data platform
- Translating business needs — Converting information requirements, KPI logic, and business rules into concrete data solutions and data products
- Managing and developing the data layer — Setting up and maintaining structured, reliable datasets following a layered architecture
- Developing data models and semantic layers — Building dimensional and semantic models based on domain definitions
- Implementing data quality and governance — Providing data quality checks, metadata, and data lineage according to established standards
- Working according to ECS standards — Implementing solutions in line with security, privacy, and governance guidelines
- Ensuring performance and scalability — Monitoring and improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of data solutions
- Applying architecture standards — Correctly implementing defined data and platform standards
- Collaborating with stakeholders — Working closely with business, IT, and other stakeholders to accurately translate domain logic into technical implementations
- Supporting BI, analytics, and AI — Delivering datasets and data products that are optimally usable for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML applications

Profile
You have the following qualities
- You have strong analytical skills and are able to think abstractly and solution-oriented
- You have a strong affinity for data modeling, data analysis, and statistics
- You can work independently and proactively
- You hold a Master’s degree with a strong numerical focus, or equivalent through experience
- You have good knowledge of databases, Python, SQL code, ETL pipelines, and ETL processes
- You have experience in a role where reporting, data modeling, and/or data analysis are central
- Knowledge of Power BI and MS Fabric is a must. Knowledge of Qlik Sense, SSRS, or other reporting tools is a plus
- Knowledge of CI/CD, and modern data architecture is a strong plus
- You are fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus
