As an Automation engineer, you are continuously optimizing and further developing the existing processes. Thanks to thorough preparation and a detailed action plan, you keep your finger on the pulse. When making team decisions, you always take the human aspect into account and strive to achieve a win-win situation as much as possible.
Your role & responsibilities
General
- You are the point of contact for everything related to automation
- You draw up the planning for both technicians and operators
- In consultation with the Foreman, you handle the leave requests of operators and technicians
- You draw up the technical annual planning and review it weekly with the warehouse manager and Foreman
- You provide 2nd-line maintenance advice (see SLA) for which thorough knowledge of the installation is a must
- You check the content of newly received reports and work performed for correctness and completeness and take the necessary action
- You supervise external companies when carrying out work
- You manage the spare parts warehouse together with the Foreman
- You assist the Foreman in planning external training or training by external parties for the technicians
- You replace the Foreman in his absence and assist him in case of serious technical problems
- You manage and monitor operational documents (e.g. MSDS sheets of lubricants, safety instruction cards, etc.) and their follow-up.
- On a project basis, you take care of optimization and life cycle extensions
Budget
- You draw up the budget and follow it up
- You check the invoicing against the orders
- You place the necessary orders to maintain the spare parts stock together with the Foreman
Maintenance
- You help analyze maintenance plans and identify areas for improvement
- You adapt existing work instructions to optimize maintenance tasks
Your profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in electromechanics or equivalent through experience
- You have a technical knowledge of and affinity with PLC
- You have a thorough knowledge of the Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
