Your goal is to ensure the administrative handling and follow-up of the flow of goods in our warehouses. You strive to maximize the efficiency of available resources, such as quays, dock drivers, unloads and loads, taking into account priorities and constraints with the goal of shipping loads in a timely manner and making unloads run smoothly. 

Your role and responsibilities 

  • You receive goods and act as a point of contact at the counter, both for compliant and non-compliant unloadings. You make any complaints and forward them to the supplier, also passing on the associated costs. In addition, you investigate open arrivals and take care of the administrative processing of orders.  

  • You ensure timely and correct processing of unloading and loading data, including customs formalities, to ensure smooth and efficient operational processing.  

  • You manage and monitor loading and unloading activities and direct night drivers to maintain optimal dock and quay schedules. In doing so, you maintain a good communication flow with warehousemen and drivers.  

  • You closely follow procedures and contribute to the goals of the department and company through your own commitment and initiative.  

  • You support and represent the sustainable nature of the company, both internally and externally, ensuring accurate monitoring and support of KPIs and safety measures.  

  • You will handle quality incidents according to established procedures and report to managers and customers. 

Schedule 

  • You will work in a full-time regime spread over 4 days  

  • Mo-do: 20h - 06h

Jouw profiel 

You possess the following qualities:  

  • You enjoyed a bachelor's degree or are equivalent through experience    

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in an administrative role  

  • You are efficient and results-oriented in order to achieve objectives.  

  • You act customer-oriented and show ownership in handling tasks.  

  • You work well with colleagues and communicate clearly in both Dutch and English. (Knowledge of French or German is a plus).  

  • You can plan and organize smoothly, and learn new software easily.  

  • You are familiar with the office suite such as Outlook, Excel and Word.  

  • You act according to ethical principles and demonstrate professional behavior.  

  • You take initiative and have a proactive attitude, with an eye for detail and procedures.   

  • You can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.  

  • You monitor and report on the progress of work.  

  • You can act assertively when necessary, with a constructive and positive attitude.  

  • You are stress resistant and work quality oriented with a professional attitude.  

  • Knowledge of the Transport and Logistics sector is an asset.
